BHAMBURG is a new bag & fur company founded in 2009 in Denmark, specialised in fur handbags and accessories as well as a young and trendy collection of fur-garments.

With a passion for the material seal skins and an a lot of experience, the former manager for Great Greenland sealskin company, Michael Kollgaard Nielsen and the fur designer Bente Houmann Andersen there have developed fur-collections for Great Greenland for all most a decade. Now they decided to collaborate again to develop a fur-collection, of coats and bags for the international market.

«Over the last teen years – Bente Houmann Andersen explains – I have been working on the Great Greenland project, living an extraordinary collaboration with the people of the area. I have had the opportunity to use these splendid furs to create collections in seal pelts, an animal traditionally hunted by the Inuit people for their own sustenance. To complete the line of clothing I crated a series of bags and accessories, which turned out to be a huge success.

In the development of the BHAMBURG project I had maximum freedom of action to put into realize my ideas in terms of design, concept and styling. There are plans for the future, that other fur materials also will be integrated in the collection.

BHAMBURG is sold successfully in many European countries as well as in China, Russia and Canada. The collection will in the future be expanded with other fur types and some new sporty menswear fur garments.

All BHAMBURG garments and accessories are produced in Europe, from the finest fur material and leather of the highest quality, by some of Europe’s best furriers and bag manufactures.

The keyword is sustainability

Sustainability is extremely important in fashion now, for it requires environmentally compatibility, biological correctness, and fair trade products whit ecological responsibility, to have a stake in the future. That is the fundament for BHAMBURG products.
